We are super excited to share WebRTC (Real-Time Communication) with you! It makes your calls even better. Now, you can easily add someone to your current call with warm transfer or move a call to another person with cold transfer and much more.

When you click on the dialer, you will notice a new section with several exciting key features:

Key Features:

  • Warm Transfer: This feature allows you to add another user to an ongoing call without interruption, ensuring a smooth transition.

  • Cold Transfer: With this option, you can transfer a call to another user, and the original user will be automatically removed from the call.

  • Add Call: This feature allows you to add a WooSender user, WooSender contact, or a Non-WooSender contact to a call.

User Status

Now, users in their WooSender accounts can change their statuses easily.

What the Colors Mean:

  • Green: The user is available to join a call.

  • Grey: The user is unavailable in the account.

  • Red: The user is on a call.

This makes it simple to know who is ready to join a call!

What Is Warm Transfer?

Warm Transfer is a new way to chat with your contacts in WooSender. With Warm Transfer, you can add a teammate to a live call you are having with a contact.

Adding a User To A Call Via Warm Transfer

Adding a teammate via warm transfer is easy. Just select an available user from your team, click confirm, and they will be added to the call.

You can only invite users to a call if their status is set as available (the green dot).

Before Connecting A Call With A User Via Warm Transfer

When you add a teammate to a warm transfer call, you and the invited user will have a private chat while the contact is put on hold. This gives your team time to catch up.

When you’re ready, just click ‘Transfer’ to bring the contact back into the call.

What is Cold Transfer?

Cold Transfer lets you assign a live call to another user. Once the assigned user is connected to the call, the original caller leaves the call, and only the assigned user and the contact will stay on the line.

Adding a User Via Add Type

Unlike a warm transfer, when you add a user via Add Type, they’re automatically added to the call with no hold.

Adding A Contact

While on a call, you have the option to add other contacts who are already added to WooSender.

Once you select a contact, click 'Add to Call'.

Adding External Contacts

While on a call you have the option to add an external contact who is not inside of WooSender.

Hold, Mute, Unmute, and Remove a Contact

While on a call, you now have three options to manage the conversation. You can put the contact on hold, mute or unmute yourself, and remove the contact from the call if needed.

10 Person Limit

When using Web RTC only 10 contacts/users can be in a call at a time.

Moving Owner

During a call, if you need to make someone else the owner, simply click the three dots next to their name. An option will appear to assign them as the owner of the call.

Live Phone Calls

The Phone Call History page is now called Phone Calls. Here, you can see all ongoing calls in real-time within your WooSender account and see which user(s) are in a call. To view past calls, simply click the Call History button.

To access this page go to settings ➡️ communications ➡️ phone calls.

You can also filter via:

  • All time

  • Contact

  • User

  • Call direction

Web RTC is only available on the WooSender Web App. The mobile version will be coming soon, in the meantime, the mobile version can only call the contact.

Let us know in live chat if you have any questions regarding Web RTC!
