To address the confusion some users have experienced while connecting their Outlook 365 or Exchange server to WooSender, we have introduced a new mail forwarding feature. This enhancement allows users to seamlessly set up forwarding from their Outlook Office 365 or Exchange server to WooSender.

For detailed instructions on enabling the mail forwarding feature, please refer to our step-by-step guide:

In WooSender

  1. Go to WooSender ➡️ Settings ➡️ Personal email or Account email.

  2. Click Connect Email Provider.

  3. Click Outlook ➡️ Click Outlook Office 365 or Exchange Server.

  4. Enter your email address and password to log in to Office 365 or Exchange.

  5. Copy the "Forwarding Email".

In Outlook Mail

  1. Click the setting.

  2. Click Mail ➡️ Forwarding.

  3. Turn on the "Enable Forwarding" toggle.

  4. Paste the Forwarding email from WooSender.

Accept email from non-contacts

If you want emails sent to your custom domain email address by non-contacts in WooSender to appear in conversation tab you can enable this feature called "Accept email from non-contacts" in the "Connecting Email Provider" settings. Turning on this toggle will ensure that all incoming emails to your domain are displayed in WooSender under the "Unassigned" conversation tab. If you prefer not to forward all emails to WooSender, you can disable this feature at any time.

Cannot connect?

If you've entered the correct account email address and password but it shows as incorrect, you should check:

  1. The 2-factor authentication is ON. If the 2-factor authentication is on, you have to use the generated app password in the password field.

  2. Enable SMTP in the Microsoft 365 admin center

Access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center ➡️ Go to Active Users ➡️ Select each user to enable SMTP (This must be done for all users who wants to forward email to WooSender) ➡️ Navigate to Mail ➡️ Manage Email App ➡️ Enable Authenticated SMTP

  3. Disable Security defaults in Microsoft Entra admin center

Access the Admin Center in Entra ➡️ Navigate to the Overview section ➡️ Go to Properties ➡️ Disable Security Defaults (take a few minutes for synchronization)

  4. Enable OTP in the Microsoft Entra admin center

Access the Admin Center in Entra ➡️ Navigate to the Protection ➡️ Click "Authentication Methods" ➡️ Find "Email OTP Settings" ➡️ Turn on the toggle to enable OTP

  5. If your Anti-spam outbound policy is enabled.

Go to Microsoft 365 ➡️ Security ➡️ Email & Collaboration ➡️ Policies & Rules ➡️ Click "Treat Policies" ➡️ Click "Anti - spam" under Policies ➡️ Click "Anti spam outbound policy" ➡️ Click "Edit protection settings" ➡️ Find "Automatic forwarding rules" ➡️ Select "On - forwarding is enabled" ➡️ Save

  6. If you are using Microsoft from the GoDaddy domain email package, check if the user's SMTP setting is enabled.

Go to My Product ➡️ Click "Email" ➡️ Find "Users" ➡️ Click "Manage" ➡️ Find "Advanced Settings" under Account information ➡️ Turn on "SMTP Authentication"

NOTE: If you are using GoDaddy Microsoft 365, please make sure to check 1,4,6 above 👆

Other Email

If you have a Mailgun or Sendgrid account, or any email provider that supports email forwarding, you can connect these providers to WooSender using the forwarding feature. Please note that you will need to enter the SMTP information to enable forwarding.
