Enhancements to Calendar Two-Way Sync in WooSender: A Clarity-Driven Update

In our continuous efforts to optimize user experience and bring forth clarity in functionalities, we have implemented a series of enhancements to the Calendar Two-Way Sync feature within WooSender.

The Issue:

Previously, users found it challenging to differentiate between appointments booked from their private calendar (like Google Calendar or Outlook) and those created directly on WooSender. Both types of appointments were marked with the same color, which occasionally led to confusion.

Our Solution:

To bring greater clarity to your scheduling, we have refined the way appointments are displayed:

Origin-Based Coloring:

  • Appointments created directly on WooSender will adopt the user's chosen color on the calendar.

  • Appointments pushed from a user's private calendar and created by the user will be distinguishable with a dark grey color.

  • Appointments pushed from a private calendar that the user was invited to (i.e., not created by them) will stand out in light grey.

2. Edit Permissions:

  • Dark grey appointments (those pushed from the user's private calendar and created by them) are editable. Any changes made will also reflect on the user's private calendar, ensuring real-time sync and accuracy.

  • Light grey appointments (those the user was invited to) are not editable on WooSender, preserving the integrity of the original invitation.

The Benefit:

These nuanced visual cues make it straightforward for users to identify the origin of their appointments at a glance. Not only does it demystify whether the appointment was created in WooSender or an external calendar, but it also clearly indicates edit permissions.

We believe that these changes will significantly streamline your user experience. It's a small step towards reducing the cognitive load of juggling multiple commitments and ensuring that our users can manage their schedules effortlessly.
