CNAM stands for Caller ID Name. In the United States public telephone network, CNAM is a feature that identifies an incoming caller by a personal or business name associated with the originating phone number. Registering your CNAM is a straightforward process. After securing your US number, a CNAM box will pop up at the top of the number list. Fill it out, and you're good to go!

Once you've submitted your CNAM, it will undergo a review process. You can check the status of your CNAM review by looking at the CNAM REGISTRY section. The statuses you might see include: Approved, In Review, or Rejected.

Rejection can occur for various reasons. If your CNAM application has been rejected and you want to understand why, feel free to reach out to our live chat support for clarification. Furthermore, you can modify the rejected CNAM and resubmit it for approval. Make the necessary changes, and click the 'resubmit' button.

Once your CNAM is approved, it may take 48-72 hours for the display name to propagate to all carriers in the United States. Please keep this in mind. If your status is under pending longer than 3days, please reach out to support.

Remember, the CNAM display name will only appear on devices if it is enabled by the subscriber.

For landline users, the CNAM feature is enabled by default.

On mobile devices, the situation is a bit different. Some carriers offer this feature for free, but others require you to download their smartphone app and pay a nominal fee of $3 per month.
