Here’s a quick guide to help you understand what’s on your WooSender invoice — including your subscription, usage, and tax charges.

Your Invoice at a Glance

Each WooSender invoice includes a breakdown of your subscription plan, add-ons, and usage-based charges. You’ll see:

  • Subscription – Your plan (e.g. Platinum) and included features.

  • Usage – Any usage that goes beyond the plan’s included limits (e.g. SMS, emails, minutes, validation, etc.).

  • Add-ons – Additional features or modules (like Dedicated Support, etc.).

We calculate everything transparently so you can see exactly what you’re paying for.

What Are “Included” vs. “Used” Units?

In the “Summary per Product” section:

  • Included refers to what's already part of your plan.

  • Used refers to what was consumed beyond those limits.

For example, if your plan includes 0 SMS and you used 2,000, you’ll see 2,000 charged at the per-unit rate.

What’s the Tax Section About?

You may see a sales tax charge under the “Tax” or “Summary of Tax-Based Charges” sections.

Why?

We’re required to collect sales tax in some U.S. states based on your billing address and local tax laws. These taxes apply to taxable services like:

  • Software-as-a-Service (SaaS)

  • Connectivity tools (e.g. SMS/MMS/Email delivery)

  • Dedicated Support (if applicable)

We group these into categories and apply the correct rate automatically.

Will Everyone Be Charged Tax?

Not necessarily. Tax is only applied if:

  • Your billing address is in a state that requires it.

  • The products/services you use are considered taxable there.

Tax-Exempt?

If your organization is tax-exempt, send us your exemption certificate. Once verified, we’ll update your account to prevent tax from being applied on future invoices.
